Notes attached to loads come in two forms: notes that print on confirmation documents and private notes for dispatchers only. The first type is meant to be shared with customers or carriers, so it includes information that should appear on the confirmation document—things like special handling instructions, terms, or requirements that the recipient needs to see. The second type stays internal to the dispatch team; these private notes are not shown on any customer-facing document and are used to coordinate actions, remember exceptions, or capture operational details that are sensitive or not relevant to the outside party. This separation lets you communicate clearly with customers when needed while keeping internal guidance and reminders separate and secure for dispatchers.
